Library

The Lake Middle School Library exists to support the learning experiences of the students, teaching and research activities for the faculty, and parents of the Lake Middle School community. This is done by providing books, periodicals, audio-visual materials, and the tools of computer technology.

Materials are provided to address the needs of all our students and staff. As education programs have increased, the Library has endeavored to support those programs of study with appropriate additions to the library collection. A strong emphasis, however, remains on the materials which support diversity and cultural awareness. The Library encourages the faculty in their own professional growth and development as well as the students. 

Intellectual freedom is important to the staff and students at Lake Middle school in order to embrace the IB culture into the community; therefore, a wide range of materials, presenting many differing views, is reflected in the library collection. Faculty members of all the disciplines have an active role in the selection of materials.
