School-Based Clinic

The Lake School-based Health Center is a full-service clinic that operates within Lake MIddle School. It is a collaborative effort of St. Anthony's Hospitals, Denver Health Medical Center and Denver Public Schools. All health care services are provided free of charge for the students at the school.

Hours of Operation: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The clinic is closed Tuesdays from 8:00 a.m. and 9 a.m. for a weekly meeting.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality health care, addressing the physical, mental, emotional, social and educatioal health of the students.

Services provided at the School-based Health Center include:

a. Physical examinations
b. Treatment of minor acute illnesses
c. Immunizations
d. Ongoing individual counseling
e. Group mental health counseling
f. Facilitation of skills based groups such as anger management, asservtiveness, positive body image, social skills, divorce recovery
g. Psychological testing
h. Special education assessment
i. Providing resources and referrals for families
j. Coordination of special programs such as hearing/vision screening, truancy, issues, peer mediation, sexual harassment prevention and individualized special interventions
k. Assisting student and families in obtaining health care coverage, eyeglasses, etc.
